Every year, Ardbeg releases a limited edition bottle themed around Ardbeg Day, and the theme for the 2025 Ardbeg Day bottle is "High Gravity Experiment." This experimental whiskey is brewed using a larger amount of malt than usual, resulting in an astronomically fruity aroma. It's an experimental whiskey made with a high-sugar wort from a "high gravity mash*." One sip and you'll be captivated by the sweetness of tropical fruit and brown sugar, as the Ardbeg universe, truly known as the "Smokyverse," unfolds before your eyes. Aged in bourbon barrels, it's non-chill filtered.
*High gravity mash: A manufacturing method that adds more malt during the mashing process to obtain wort with a higher sugar content.

(Tasting notes)
Aroma: Smoky and bubblegum-like estery aromas, bursting with fruity notes, blending with the aroma of ripe barley and toasted natural yeast bread. When water is added, a rich, sweet, fragrant smoke emerges, accompanied by tropical fruit.
Taste: A rich, creamy mouthfeel gives way to sharp, spicy notes of creosote, aniseed, and cloves. A distinct sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar tempers the rich, woody notes of charcoal.
Aftertaste: A long-lasting aftertaste reminiscent of bonfire embers and peat moss.
