Using the "Gosake no Nikki," a book on brewing techniques said to have been written in the Muromachi period, as a reference, the Bodaimoto Research Group (Imanishi Sake Brewery, Ueda Sake Brewery, Katsuragi Sake Brewery, Kikuji Brewery, Kitaoka Honten, Kuramoto Sake Brewery, and Abunaga Sake Brewery) revived and brewed the sake as "Bodaisen" in 2021 using Shorekiji's moto (originally bodaimoto).

Founded in 1871 (Meiji 4), this brewery in Nara City is known for its signature brand, "Kuramoto." Kuramoto Sake Brewery is located in Tsuge, a region of severe winters at an altitude of approximately 500 meters on the Yamato Plateau in the northeastern mountains of Nara, the birthplace of Japanese sake, where many remains of icehouses remain. In this region with its large temperature differences, they cultivate high-quality rice and use groundwater collected from their own mountain. While carrying on this tradition, they are working on sake brewing based on free-spirited ideas, aiming to set a new standard for sake that can only be achieved in this land and at this brewery.
