This "Kanosuke Single Malt PEATED" is a peated whiskey that combines the mellow flavor that is the greatest feature of single malt Kanosuke whiskey with a soft and elegant smokiness.
A new pot of peated malt is aged in shochu recharred and bourbon barrels, and this is the key malt. It is vatted with other whiskeys aged in multiple barrels, and bottled non-chill filtered.
It has a sweet and sour aroma like black currant, a juicy sweetness like pear, and the umami of smoked bacon and a slight saltiness derived from the peat, giving it a mellow taste that is unique to peated whiskeys.
