"Tory Ban" means "singing sand" in Gaelic. This whiskey invites you into a world filled with happiness, just like the beautiful song sung by the white sands of the famous singing sand beach on Islay, which ebbs and flows with the tides.

This "Ardbeg Tory Bun Batch 7 19 Year Old 2006" is a limited edition product that is released in small batches only once a year, and is the final chapter of the 19 Year Old series.
As with previous whiskies, this one is aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, but this time it's finished with the highest proportion of Oloroso sherry casks in the series' history. Ardbeg's signature smoky notes and citrus nuances, along with the salted caramel, ginger, and cumin spices from the sherry casks, combine exquisitely to create a richer, more multi-layered flavor than ever before. Furthermore, the Oloroso sherry casks impart a bittersweet sweetness reminiscent of cocoa powder and espresso, enveloping the whole, creating a satisfying experience that feels like savoring a story unfolding in its own right. The alcohol content has also been significantly increased from 46.2% to 50.3%, resulting in a whiskey that exudes the strength and rich character characteristic of Ardbeg, and a refined finish worthy of the final chapter of the series.

Taste: On the palate, citrus flavors reminiscent of lemon peel and bergamot burst forth, followed by a powerful wave of smoky notes. The Oloroso sherry casks bring warm spices like ginger and cumin, followed by deep nuances like dry cocoa powder and espresso.
Finish: The sweetness of salty toffee, the deep aroma of burnt wood and tar, and the fragrant flavor of burning sweet heather. Warm spices spread gently, warming you from the inside out for a long, pleasant finish.
