Speyside Whisky / THE BALVENIE 12 YEARS DOUBLE WOOD (Officially Imported)

The Balvenie Distillery, named after the nearby Balvenie Castle, was founded in 1892 as Glenfiddich's second distillery. This Balvenie 12 Year Old (Double Wood) is a malt whisky unique to The Balvenie, aged in two types of casks (wood). After distillation, it is first stored in traditional bourbon casks, and then transferred to oak casks previously used to age sherry for a total of 12 years of aging. The distinctive depth of the flavor is achieved by utilizing the characteristics of the two casks.
