"Double Barrel" is a blended malt series created by major bottler Douglas Laing using only raw spirits from two distilleries, and is the result of Douglas Laing's exquisite blending techniques, which bring out the best in each distillery.
This product is a blend of Islay and Highland malts.
The label design features a mermaid from Islay legend, calm and serene even in the face of a tempest, holding a thorny thistle flower in a delicate glass vial, caricaturing the polar opposites of Highland, characterized by its subtle smoky sweetness, and Islay, characterized by its powerful, punchy peaty flavor. Non-coloured. Non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Sweet, smoky aroma followed by toasty toast and honey. Taste: Smoke and ash are balanced by sweet malt nuances. Finish: Long, with a hint of toasted nuts and marzipan sweetness.
