Gordon & MacPhail Caol Ila Connoisseur's Choice 13 Year Old 2007 Whisky (Official Import)

Gordon & MacPhail, the oldest bottler in the world, was founded in 1895 and manages the maturation process itself, filling its own barrels with distilled raw spirits, aging them at each distillery, and bottling them in its own warehouses.
This is a rare "Wood Finish" from G&M's signature "Connoisseur's Choice" series. Distilled in 2007 at the Caol Ila distillery on Islay, it is a 13-year-old single malt that was aged in refill bourbon casks and finished in Hermitage casks.

Nose: Rich aromas of fruit cake and brown sugar mingle with a hint of cinnamon. Cherry, toasted walnuts, and dates give way to sweet smokiness.
Taste: Cured meat flavors are balanced with sweet, ripe summer berries and smooth almonds. A hint of toffee transforms into light black pepper.
Finish: A medium-bodied finish with fruit and spice notes that linger with a bonfire.
