Kuju Distillery, a whiskey distillery in Oita Prefecture, has released its first single malt since its founding in 2021, aged in barrels in the climate of Kuju. Aiming to create a blend that allows you to directly experience the unique characteristics of Kuju Distillery's raw spirits, the whisky is bottled at cask strength, blended with various raw spirits such as bourbon barrels, refill casks, and sherry casks. It features ripe green fruit and a rich malt sweetness, and expresses the complex aroma and flavor of Kusumi Distillery and the clean yet well-balanced flavor of the raw spirit. <Tasting notes> Nose: Ripe green fruit, pear, black tea, flowers, citrus fruits, sunny grass, new wooden furniture. Palate: Rich malt sweetness, juicy fruit juice, ripe kiwi fruit, lemon peel, meringue pie. Finish: Balanced sweetness and acidity continue with a slightly oily texture.
