The Octomore series has been legendary among enthusiasts since its release as the world's most heavily peated single malt. Octomore 14.1 is a single malt from Bruichladdich Distillery, made with 100% Scottish barley peated to an extremely high phenol content of 128.9 ppm. The whisky is aged for five years in first-fill American oak/bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered and non-colored.
The overwhelming presence of peat, refreshing fruity notes and floral aromas coexist in an astonishing balance.

Aromas of sweet caramel and toffee spread, followed by soot, hints of coconut and almond, and a hint of citrus. Flavors of pear and green apple emerge, followed by charred oak, roasted coffee, and nutmeg, leading to a gentle heather honey finish with peat smoke and brine.
