The "Old Particular" series is a carefully selected, high-quality series released by major bottler Douglas Laing. Founded in 1896, Aultmore Distillery is the key malt for Johnnie Walker 12 Year Old and Dewar's.
This product is a single cask distilled in 2010 and aged for 12 years in a refill cask (hogshead). It is non-chilled and non-colored.
<Tasting notes>
Aroma: A rich, fleshy aroma that embodies the deep color, gradually changing into a forest scent. Taste: Interesting sweet and sour, oak and grist, mint and smoke. Finish: More (chocolate) mint and barley, and lightly burnt toast and honey.
