The Black Label is a part of the Old Particular series, which is released by major bottler Douglas Laing, and is a special and unique whiskey that focuses on rare distilleries and vintages.
Balmenach Distillery was founded in 1824, closed in 1993, and reopened in 1998. This Balmenach product is a single cask distilled in 2004 and aged for 15 years. It is cask strength without added water. It is non-chilled and non-colored.

Aroma: A crisp citrus scent that gradually changes to juicy barley and vanilla custard cream.
Taste: Stewed apples are dressed with a hint of white pepper and soft spices, complemented by charred oak.
Finish: The sweetness of honey and the warming spice of nutmeg linger for a long time.
