Major bottler Douglas Laing releases only carefully selected, high-quality whiskies in the "Old Particular" series. Braeval Distillery was founded in 1973 and was one of Scotland's first fully automated distilleries. This Braeval product is a single cask distilled in 2009 and aged for 12 years. It is non-chilled and non-colored.
<Tasting notes>
Nose: A creamy, buttery, rich barley-colored base intertwined with spices.
Taste: A slight hint of ginger on the tongue, gradually turning into toffee, malt and autumn fruits.
Finish: More than expected, with molasses, barley malt, mild oak and dry spices.
