The "Old Particular" series is a carefully selected, high-quality series released by major bottler Douglas Laing. Mortlach Distillery is a veteran distillery founded in 1823 and is used as the key malt for Johnnie Walker.
This product is a single cask distilled in 2008 and aged for 12 years in a refill cask (hogshead). Non-chilled and non-coloured.
<Tasting notes>
Aroma: A gentle aroma of pure, fresh spices, with a pleasant hint of barley sugar in the background. Taste: Mixed spices appear early on, developing into warm chocolate ginger, mint and gristly malt. Finish: A variety of spices appear, all very sweet and perfectly complementing the juicy barley.
