This product is a whiskey made from malt from Islands/Highland Park Distillery, distilled in 2000, and aged for 15 years in bourbon barrels. It is non-colored.
Highland Park Distillery is Scotland's northernmost distillery, located in Kirkwall, Orkney Islands. It began distilling in 1798 and is currently one of Scotland's 10 oldest operating distilleries. It is owned by the Edrington Group, the same group that produces Macallan. Its distinctive features include light peaty whiskeys that take advantage of the natural environment of the Auckland Islands and aging in sherry casks.
