Talisker Distillery was founded in 1830. Located in a cove on the Isle of Skye, the largest island in the Inner Hebrides in northwest Scotland, it is constantly exposed to the sea breeze and is known worldwide for its whisky, which has a flavor that is reminiscent of the sea breeze. Until the construction of Torveig Distillery in 2017, it was the only distillery on the Isle of Skye.
Talisker 10 Year Old is the distillery's signature product.
(Tasting notes)
Aroma: A powerful smoky peat aroma with hints of sea salt, oysters, and citrus sweetness. Taste: A rich, dried fruit sweetness with a smoky, powerful malt aroma. Warm and passionate. A peppery aroma at the back of the throat. Finish: A long, expansive, warm, peppery finish with an appetizing sweetness.
