Highland Whisky / THOMPSON BROS ROYAL BRACKLA 13 Year Old 2011 [Official Import]

Thompson Brothers sells products from its own Dornoch Distillery (a new distillery established in the Highlands in 2016 that combines traditional and modern techniques to create new whiskies and has received high praise in recent years), as well as bottles from other distilleries as bottler's bottles.
This product is a single malt whisky made from raw spirit distilled in 2011 at Royal Brackla Distillery, one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, established in the Highlands in 1812 and known as Dewar's key malt, and aged for 13 years in refill casks (butts).
(Tasting notes)
Nose: Pine needles, pepper, and a pleasant resinous aroma. Licorice, a delicious bowl of Weihenstephan, fennel seeds, curry, and cereal bars. Taste: Lemon, green apple, kiwi, pepper spice, and fermenting cider. Finish: Triple sec (possibly double sec), pastry.
