As the world's most heavily peated single malt, Octomore has become a legendary series among enthusiasts since its release. This Octomore 14.2 is crafted from 100% Scottish barley peated to an exceptionally high phenol content of 128.9 ppm at Bruichladdich Distillery. The whisky is aged for four years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks (40%), first-fill Amarone wine casks (16%), and second-fill Amarone wine casks (44%), followed by a further year in Pauillac wine casks. This single malt is non-chill filtered and non-colored.
The taste is a wonderful balance of Octomore's signature peat smoke and rich red fruit.

Aromas of prune, red currant, and barley come to the forefront, blending with nuances of charred oak, cinnamon, green apple, and pepper. Wood spice from European oak, roasted coffee, barbecue-like sweetness and pepper, rich fruit cake, and dried fruit flavors.
