Founded in 1900 (Meiji 33), this brewery is located in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Its signature brand is "Asahigiku." Fukuoka Prefecture is the third largest producer of Yamadanishiki rice in Japan, after Hyogo Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture. The brewery focuses on brewing sake using pesticide-free Yamadanishiki rice grown in Nijo-cho, Itoshima City, the leading production area within Fukuoka Prefecture.
