To celebrate its 10th anniversary, "Kuranoshi - Reiwa 5 Brewing Year Shisanzo Best Sake" has been released. This 10th anniversary edition uses raw sake made with "Michishizuku", a new variety of sweet potato developed to combat root rot, and "Natsuhonoka" koji rice.
When served on the rocks or with soda, the gorgeous aroma of Michishizuku and the sweet, honey-like aftertaste linger for a long time, and when mixed with hot water, you can taste the rich aroma of the koji made from Natsuhonoka and the umami of the rice.
It comes with a 10th anniversary bottle bag (1.8L bottle size), and the wrapping paper features photos of the brewers at work and crops lovingly grown by local Kagoshima farmers.

Producer/Brewery ( Kagoshima Prefecture / Wakashio Brewery (Sengamejo, GLOW) )

Wakashio Shuzo, located in Shibushi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, was established in 1968 through the collaboration of five local breweries. The brewery owns two breweries on its premises: Shisangura, which combines modern technology to produce a consistent, high-quality regular sake, and Sengokugura, which produces shochu with a traditional, handcrafted flavor. The brewery is particularly focused on product development, building on its accumulated expertise in koji and shochu production by proactively incorporating new ideas from different fields, such as global distilled spirits production methods and approaches to flavor and aroma, with the aim of shaping the future of shochu. In recent years, the brewery has catapulted itself into the spotlight after its GLOW EP05 won the Grand Prize in the sweet potato shochu category at the Liquor Store's Choice Shochu Awards for three consecutive years.
