This roughly filtered shochu is available for a limited time in the winter. The product name "Fuyu no Hana" (Winter Flower) comes from the fact that it is filtered minimally to create a rich, umami-filled finish, and its slightly cloudy white color. When you put it in your mouth, the aroma of sweet potato spreads immediately, and you can enjoy its rich, mellow flavor.
*Umami components may appear as white floating particles when stored in cold conditions or under other storage conditions, but this does not affect the quality. Over time, the umami components may blend with the alcohol and gradually become transparent.

This shochu brewery in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture, was founded in 1975 by nine local breweries. Its representative brands include "Satsuma Taikai," "Umi," and "Kujira no Bottle." Using locally grown sweet potatoes under contract, the brewery is equipped with relatively modern facilities and makes shochu by making the most of the experience and five senses of the brewers.
