"Kokuryu Daiginjo Ryu" is a pioneering product in low-temperature aging, and a pioneer in the commercialization of Daiginjo. Now, to commemorate the 50th anniversary, a special "Kokuryu Daiginjo Ryu" has been released, aged for five years at ice temperature.
Aging for a long period of time gives it a honey-like aroma, a rich, deep aroma of maturity, and a multi-layered flavor that is more mellow, smooth and silky on the tongue, with a beautiful lingering finish.
The presentation box is a black-covered box typical of Kuroryu, decorated with the character "dragon" in gold foil, befitting the 50th anniversary, and the bottle has a black Echizen-woven label indicating the 2020 vintage, which indicates five years of aging.

Producer/Brewery ( Fukui Prefecture/Kokuryu Brewery )

Founded in 1804, this brewery is located in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture. During the seventh generation, the brewer developed a deep interest in wine, a type of brewed alcoholic beverage, and traveled to France and Germany, exploring through trial and error whether sake could be aged in the same way as wine, while continuing to pursue the brewing of high-quality sake in small quantities. This resulted in the birth of "Kokuryu Daiginjo Ryu," which became the first daiginjo sake to be commercialized in the country.
