To commemorate the 220th anniversary, this limited edition set features specially brewed Kokuryu sake over three generations, from the Showa era to the Reiwa era. The sixth generation built the foundation as a ginjo brewery, the seventh generation established the Kokuryu brand, and the eighth generation continues to create even greater value in sake. Each generation of Kokuryu expresses the sake-brewing techniques that have been passed down through the generations.
The presentation box features the three-clawed black dragon mark that is said to have been used since the days of Mizuno Brewery, run by the sixth-generation owner, Mizuno Yoshitaro, and the label is decorated with a brush purification ritual that is reminiscent of each era.

Enjoy comparing the different sakes while thinking about sake brewing in each era.

Producer/Brewery ( Fukui Prefecture/Kokuryu Brewery )

Founded in 1804, this brewery is located in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture. During the seventh generation, the brewer developed a deep interest in wine, a type of brewed alcoholic beverage, and traveled to France and Germany, exploring through trial and error whether sake could be aged in the same way as wine, while continuing to pursue the brewing of high-quality sake in small quantities. This resulted in the birth of "Kokuryu Daiginjo Ryu," which became the first daiginjo sake to be commercialized in the country.
