This Junmai sake, brewed in the 2020 brewing year using Kame no O (originally rice grown in Yamagata Prefecture), which became famous as a sake rice thanks to the release of Natsuko no Sake (Oze Akira), is now at its peak drinking age. The rice's inherent acidity and umami have mellowed with age, resulting in a well-balanced flavor. It is especially recommended to drink it warm, from room temperature to around 50 degrees.

This brewery was founded in 1848 and is located in Hasuda City, Saitama Prefecture. In 1987, while the local sake boom was still a local trend, they converted all of their brewing to junmai sake, and are famous for becoming the first brewery to produce only junmai sake since the war. This move further solidified the subsequent trend in the sake industry to emphasize quality.
Their flagship brand, "Kamigame," is named after the "messenger turtle of God" that is said to have lived in the "Tenjin Pond" behind the brewery. "Hikomagoto" means great-grandson, and is given to sake that has been aged for more than three years.
