This product was first released in the fall of 2013, and this year (2025) marks its 13th year since its release. The raw liquor was brewed in November and December of last year and then aged for approximately one year before being released. It can be considered the originator of "flavor shochu" (shochu with a new aroma). The raw material, "Tsurunashi Genji" sweet potato, is aged for approximately two weeks before being brewed with black koji and distilled under atmospheric pressure (boiled down distillation). This product is characterized by its extremely high level of "monoterpene alcohol," a compound that gives sweet potato shochu its distinctive fruity and citrus aroma.

*Last year, the harvest volume of sweet potatoes, the raw material, was significantly reduced due to factors such as sweet potato base rot, and the effects of this will continue this year, with the sales volume this year decreasing significantly by approximately 15% compared to last year.
