The new shochu for 2024 has arrived! This is a sweet potato shochu made by distilling the regular sweet potato shochu "Hananu" without filtering it, adding water, and then immediately bottling it. This freshly made sweet potato shochu is only available to the brewers at the time of production, and is a new shochu only available at this time of year.

Producer/Brewery ( Kagoshima Prefecture/Takubo Sake Brewery )

Originally, the company delivered raw sweet potatoes to shochu manufacturers, but with the cooperation of its predecessor, Kubo Brewery (founded in 1910), the current Takubo Brewery was established in 1990, and continues to operate to this day. The company is committed to the traditional "earthenware jar brewing" method, and aims for quality rather than mass production.
