商品名の「EIKUN holic」は直訳すると「英君中毒」。その名の通りの特徴が際立つことを目指した意欲的なお酒（瓶詰め時に1回火入れ）です。

原料米には、岡山県で契約栽培した酒造好適米「みずほのか」を使用。この米は低グルテン米であり高精白せずに米由来の特徴的な吟醸香を生成する特徴があります。この米を使用することで、酵母由来の香りでなく、米に由来する新しい香り成分を生成します。また、この特徴を最大限に生かすため、共同プロジェクトとして東京西麻布／日本酒酒場「EUREKA!」の店主_千葉麻里絵氏の助言を得て醸されています。
マスカットやライチ、白ワインのソーヴィニヨン・ブランのような爽やかな清涼感のある、特徴的な立香を楽しめます。

Producer/Brewery ( Shizuoka Prefecture/Eikun Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. )

This brewery, located in Yui, Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, was founded in 1881. The Treaty of Amity and Commerce between Japan and the UK was signed in the same year the brewery was founded, so the sake was named "Eikin" after the wise Tokugawa lord.

In brewing, we use Shizuoka yeast for all of our products, creating sake with a gentle taste and aroma that you will never tire of drinking with meals.
