蔵元のある甑島（こしきしま）は、「甑州(そしゅう)」とも呼ばれることから名付けられた、少量生産の蔵元です。

この商品は、鹿児島県産「黄金千貫」を白麹、蔵付酵母で仕込み、常圧で蒸留。手漉きはするものの無濾過・無加水で瓶詰めされた、2025年新焼酎です。
優しい香りで、昔ながらの芋焼酎の味わいです。また無濾過の新焼酎であり、時間の経過により味わいの変化も楽しめます。

This shochu brewery was founded in 1908 and is located on Shimokoshikijima Island in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The product name "Soshu" comes from the fact that the island where the brewery is located is also called "Soshu."
