This limited edition shochu was released to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Yoshinaga Shuzo's founding. It's a sweet potato shochu made at atmospheric pressure using a unique method that has been passed down for over 100 years: a turtle-bottle brewing process that combines wine yeast, Joy White (sweet potato), and black koji type G. The rough filtration process gives it a flavor that combines the fruity notes of western liquor with the full-bodied taste of sweet potato.

This shochu brewery was founded in 1908 and is located on Shimokoshikijima Island in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The product name "Soshu" comes from the fact that the island where the brewery is located is also called "Soshu."
