蔵元のある甑島（こしきしま）は、「甑州(そしゅう)」とも呼ばれることから名付けられた、少量生産の蔵元です。

この商品は、麹米に鹿児島県産米、原料芋に契約栽培の鹿児島県産「黄金千貫」を使用。白麹、黒麹を問わず複数の仕込みタンクをブレンド、荒ろ過の後、25度に調整した芋焼酎です。ブレンディングならではの、最大限に芋の旨味を引き出した朴訥さを感じる味わいです。

This shochu brewery was founded in 1908 and is located on Shimokoshikijima Island in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The product name "Soshu" comes from the fact that the island where the brewery is located is also called "Soshu."
