原料米に「秋田酒こまち」使用。55%精米し、赤色酵母（アデニン色素要求性酵母）で醸した純米吟醸の、薄桃色（うすももいろ）の無濾過生酒です。人気の桃色系ですが、先行して発売された「桃色うすにごり」とは原料米が異なります。
赤色酵母は発酵管理が難しく、桃色が想定よりも出なかったとのことですが、果実のような酸と甘みが好印象な味わいに仕上がっています。
