Founded in 1879, Remoissenet Père et Fils is a domaine and négociant located in the city of Beaune. Since 2005, American investor Edward Milstein has acquired management rights. Under the new management of renowned female winemaker Claudie Jobard, the winery has expanded its vineyards from just 2.5 hectares to approximately 15 hectares, and is now practicing organic farming, aiming to improve quality while also expanding its business.
Located below Bressand, between Greves and Saint-Vignes, Toussaint is a special plot owned by Remoissenet, and this cuvée will be released by Domaine.
As is typical of Remoissenet, this wine seems capable of withstanding long-term aging, with a beautifully strong tannin without losing the delicate character of Pinot Noir. Aromas of black cherry and dark fruit are complemented by notes of black tea and fern, creating a complex yet sensual wine. It also has a sweet, concentrated fruitiness and a full-bodied, long finish.
