Thomas Morey Burgundy Chardonnay 2022

Thomas Morey quickly rose to prominence after inheriting the vineyards of one of Chassagne's top domaines from his father, Bernard Morey, in 2007. His exceptional sensibility and talent were quickly recognized by Aubert de Villaine, then owner of DRC (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti), who invited him to join the DRC-Montrachet vineyards from 2007 to 2009. While working at his own domaine, Thomas also demonstrated his exceptional talent as head of viticulture at DRC-Montrachet, and has since dedicated himself to the family business.
This Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022 captures the abundant sunshine of Chassagne-Montrachet with a vibrant golden color. The bouquet is dominated by the ripe fruit of Chardonnay, with hints of fresh hazelnut and subtle vanilla notes from its delicate new wood aging. It's full-bodied with a lively acidity structure. Notes of ripe apple and pear combine with subtle citrus characteristics and hints of mineral complexity. Elegant and balanced, this wine has depth reflecting the old vines, complemented by the fresh, lively aromas of biodynamic farming.
