Domaine des Zacorites Le Rendez-Vous des Zacorites 2021

Domaine des Acols was founded by Olivier Leriche, renowned for his winemaking genius at Domaine de L'Arlot in Saint-Georges, Nuits-Burgundy, and his wife Florence. Located in Ardiché, Côtes du Rhône, the domaine has practiced organic farming since its inception, and has been certified biodynamic (Demeter) since the 2015 vintage.
The wines produced here are harvested by hand in small 20kg boxes to ensure accurate selection, and since 2012 have been transported in refrigerated trucks to prevent temperatures from rising after harvest. The experience gained at Larlo is utilized throughout, including the use of gravity to handle the juice. To maximize the depth of the wine, 30-100% of the grapes are used, just as at Larlo, and the barrels used are from Larlo, so the essence of Larlo is sprinkled throughout.
This producer is now gaining more and more attention every year, with its wines not only awarded three stars in France but also listed on the menus of famous restaurants around the world.
This wine is made from 100% Grenache Noir. The ripeness of the fruit is clearly apparent, but the acidity is also well-balanced, resulting in a finely crafted wine. Its refined style combines a generous amount of sweetness with supple fruit and a well-defined minerality. "Acolyte" means "friend," and Olivier's name embodies his desire for this wine to be enjoyed casually with friends.
