Nicole Lamarche is a family-run domaine in Vosne-Romanée known for the Grand Cru vineyard "La Grande Rue," which dates back to 1740. Sandwiched between La Tâche and La Romanée, both owned by Romanée-Conti, La Grande Rue was a Premier Cru vineyard in the 1930s, but was finally elevated to Grand Cru status in 1992. In addition to La Grande Rue, the domaine also owns other excellent vineyards, including Echézeaux, Clos de Vougeot, Les Malconsolles, Les Suchots, Les Chaumes, and more recently Les Cras in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Currently, the winemaking is mainly supported by Nicole Lamarche, who joined the Domaine in 2003. Since 2010, all 11.23 hectares of vineyards have been cultivated organically. 100% of the vines are hand-picked. Starting with the 2018 vintage, the wines have been released under the name "Nicole Lamarche."

This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the Clos de Vougeot vineyard. According to Berghound, the name of a wine review published by Alan Meadows and a highly respected authority on Burgundy wines, the cool, calming aromas of red currant, humus, and freshly dug soil are enhanced by a moderate oak aroma. The rich, medium-bodied flavor gently caresses, creating a pleasant, luxurious texture. The slightly firm, firm finish reveals focused power and the potential for long-term aging. It is considered an outstanding wine with a surprisingly long finish. It is expected to be best enjoyed from 2032 onwards.
