Nicole Lamarche La Grande Rue Grand Cru 2022

Nicole Lamarche is a family-run domaine in Vosne-Romanée known for the Grand Cru vineyard "La Grande Rue," which dates back to 1740. Sandwiched between La Tâche and La Romanée, both owned by Romanée-Conti, La Grande Rue was a Premier Cru vineyard in the 1930s, but was finally elevated to Grand Cru status in 1992. In addition to La Grande Rue, the domaine also owns other excellent vineyards, including Echézeaux, Clos de Vougeot, Les Malconsolles, Les Suchots, Les Chaumes, and more recently Les Cras in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Currently, the winemaking is mainly supported by Nicole Lamarche, who joined the Domaine in 2003. Since 2010, all 11.23 hectares of vineyards have been cultivated organically. 100% of the vines are hand-picked. Starting with the 2018 vintage, the wines have been released under the name "Nicole Lamarche."

This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the La Grande Rue vineyard (monopole). According to Berghound, a wine review published by Alan Meadows and a highly respected authority on Burgundy wines, it offers refreshing and elegant aromas of red Pinot, exotic black tea, and sandalwood, with spicy and floral nuances. It's incredibly delicious. The medium-bodied, full-bodied palate, with a subtle mineral nuance, boasts a wonderfully rich and full-bodied mid-palate. The refined, refined flavors spread throughout the mouth, creating an exceptionally long finish. This exceptional wine is said to be rich in finesse and has a slightly warm finish. Its drinking window is expected to be from 2034 onward.
