From selecting the fields to cultivating them, to growing golden Senkan rice from scratch, using Amakusa water, and shochu brewed by hand over many years... the "Ikenotsyu_Indigenous" series is made entirely from Amakusa ingredients.

This year's theme for the second installment is "Kogane Senkan." Following the outbreak of root rot disease that began in 2020, there was a sense of crisis that if things continued as they were, it would no longer be possible to produce shochu using Kogane Senkan, so the company accelerated the cultivation of potatoes on its own farms and on Amakusa Island. Grown on abandoned farmland, Kogane Senkan is resistant to disease, and so far there have been no cases of root rot. This Indigenous Vol. 2 was completed by combining several varieties of Kogane Senkan grown experimentally in several fields.
The label was created as a collaborative project with students from Musashino Art University.
