Founded in 1986, this brewery is located in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. Its flagship brand, "Asakura," is named after Yokote Castle, the symbol of Yokote City, which is also known as "Asakura Castle." Under the direction of Akita's master brewer, Toshio Terui, one of the top five master brewers in Japan, the brewery's passionate staff brews sake using the Akita-style cold brewing method, which combines the finest techniques with long-term, low-temperature fermentation. Brewed exclusively with local rice from Akita, a rice-growing region, this sake is characterized by its vibrant aroma and mellow flavor, which creates a timeless taste.
