It is said that the custom of warming sake became common after the mid-Edo period. The ideal temperature for warming sake depends on the drinker's preference, but generally speaking, many people say that a temperature between "body temperature warm" (35-40°C) and "high temperature warm" (45-50°C) is the most delicious.

It is quite difficult to precisely control the temperature when it enters your mouth, but we recommend first raising the temperature to around atsukan (50°C), then enjoying the changing flavor as the temperature drops, and finding your preferred temperature range.
